At minimum, we need to understand: what type of product you are looking for, your target market, approximate volumes, and timeline expectations. The more context you provide - references, moodboards, technical requirements - the more useful our initial assessment will be. But we understand that ideas are often not fully formed at the start, and that is fine
Yes. Many of our projects begin with a reference image or rough sketch rather than complete specifications. Part of our role is helping you define the material logic, construction approach, and specifications during the development process.
Initial consultations and feasibility discussions are free. We invest time upfront to understand if there is a good fit between your requirements and our capabilities. Formal sampling and development work is quoted separately once we have a clear brief.

MOQs vary by product and material. For simple products in our core materials (wood, metal, ceramics), typical minimums range from 200–500 pieces. For more complex products or custom development, minimums may be higher. We discuss MOQs during the initial conversation based on your specific requirements.
In some cases, we can accommodate smaller initial orders with the understanding that unit costs will be higher. This is often worthwhile for testing a new product or market. We are transparent about the cost implications of lower volumes.
We have successfully managed orders in the tens of thousands of units by coordinating across multiple makers. For very large volumes, we discuss production planning, quality control scaling, and timeline management upfront. There is no hard maximum, but we are honest about what we can execute reliably.
Initial samples typically take 2–4 weeks depending on product complexity. Allow additional time for refinement rounds based on your feedback. A complete sampling process from first sample to approved pre-production sample usually takes 4–8 weeks.
Sampling costs vary by product complexity. Simple products might cost £50–150 for initial samples; complex products or those requiring tooling can cost more. We provide a clear quote before beginning any paid work. Sampling costs are separate from production costs
Most products go through 2–3 sample rounds: an initial sample, a refinement based on feedback, and a final pre-production sample. Some products require more iteration; others are approved faster. We work with you until you are satisfied with the sample quality.
Yes. Sample shipments are typically sent via express courier (DHL, FedEx) with full tracking. Shipping costs are charged at cost. We can also consolidate samples if you are developing multiple products simultaneously.
After sample approval, production typically takes 6–10 weeks depending on product complexity and order volume. Add 2–4 weeks for shipping. A complete project from first conversation to delivered goods usually takes 3–4 months, though this varies significantly by scope.
In some cases, yes - depending on maker availability and product type. Expedited production usually involves additional costs. We are honest about what is realistically achievable and do not promise timelines we cannot meet.
We communicate proactively if delays occur. We build realistic buffers into our timelines and flag potential issues early. When delays happen, we explain the cause, provide a revised timeline, and discuss options - including partial shipments if that helps.
Yes, we welcome client visits and can arrange factory tours. Seeing production firsthand builds confidence and often improves collaboration. We can coordinate visits during key production stages if you want to inspect work in progress.
Quality control happens at every stage: material sourcing, in-process inspection, and pre-shipment verification. We work with an approved pre-production sample as the reference standard. Detailed specifications and regular communication with makers ensure consistency across batches.
We typically use AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) standards for pre-shipment inspection, customised to your requirements. For most clients, AQL 2.5 (General Inspection Level II) is standard. We can adjust inspection levels based on product criticality and your preferences.
Yes. We coordinate testing and certification based on product type and destination market — food contact compliance, electrical safety, chemical restrictions, etc. Testing costs are passed through at cost, and we work with accredited laboratories.
We address quality issues before shipment whenever possible. If issues are discovered post-delivery, we investigate the cause, take responsibility where appropriate, and work with you on resolution - whether that means replacements, credits, or other remedies.
We commonly work on FOB (Free On Board), CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight), and DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms. We discuss the best option for your situation during quoting. If you have preferred freight forwarders, we can work with them.
Packaging is specified during development. Options range from bulk export packaging (inner polybags, master cartons) to retail-ready packaging with branded elements. We ensure packaging is suitable for shipping and meets your requirements for presentation.
Yes. We can coordinate split shipments to multiple locations or arrange drop-shipping to your distribution centres. Multi-destination shipping is quoted separately based on volumes and destinations.
We prepare all standard export documentation: commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and product-specific certificates. We work with experienced freight forwarders and can advise on HS codes and import requirements for common markets.
